The People of Tokyo
- Population density of 6,029 persons per square kilometers--> Tokyo is the most densely populated prefecture in Japan, and one of the most densely populated cities in the world
- The population of the 23 wards of Tokyo has stabilized at roughly eight million
- Outlying regions continue to grow rapidly
- Two other cities within the metropolitan complex, Yokohama and Kawasaki, have populations of more than a million
- Young people make up most of the population
- Most neighborhoods are more quiet then they once were--> because of television--> most people now a days in the city if they do not work stay home and watch baseball(national game)
